Buyer's Guide
Choosing a lender

Total cost. Compare APR or total payback, plus origination, draw and prepayment fees.

Repayment fit. Match the term and payment frequency to your cash flow.

Speed vs. price. Faster funding usually costs more. Plan ahead when you can.

Requirements. Time in business, revenue, credit and collateral vary by lender.

Types of business financing
Most lenders specialize. Knowing the product you need narrows the list to the lenders that actually do those deals.
Term Loans
A lump sum repaid in fixed installments over a set term, from several months to several years.
Lines of Credit
Revolving access to funds up to a limit. Draw as needed and pay interest only on what you use.
Equipment Finance
Loans or leases for machinery, vehicles and technology, usually secured by the equipment itself.
Invoice Factoring
Sell unpaid B2B invoices for an advance on most of their value, with the balance (minus fees) when customers pay.
Asset-Based Lending
A revolving facility secured by receivables, inventory or equipment and sized by a borrowing base.
Commercial Real Estate
Purchase, refinance and bridge loans secured by owner-occupied or investment property.
Business lender FAQs
A list of lenders and funding companies grouped by product, so brokers and business owners can compare who offers what. It covers term loans, lines of credit, equipment finance, invoice factoring, asset-based lending, real estate and specialty capital. SBA lenders and revenue-based funders have their own directories.
A term loan pays out one lump sum that you repay on a fixed schedule. A line of credit lets you draw funds as needed up to a limit, repay, and draw again, with interest charged only on the balance you use.
Many do, but not all. Cards marked “Brokers welcome” reflect the lender’s listing information. Confirm compensation and submission requirements directly with the lender before sending a deal.
It depends on what the money is for. Equipment purchases often fit equipment finance, slow-paying B2B customers fit invoice factoring, ongoing working capital fits a line of credit, and one-time investments fit a term loan.
Rates and fees vary widely by product, lender and borrower profile. Bank financing tends to cost the least, while faster online and specialty products usually cost more. Ask for the APR or total payback and all fees in writing so you can compare offers.
No. Funder Intel is an independent directory. We are not a lender, do not make credit decisions and do not offer loans. We may earn a fee from partners (marked “Featured”), which never changes the information shown.
Business financing comes in several forms: term loans and lines of credit for working capital and growth, equipment finance for machinery and vehicles, and factoring or asset-based lending for businesses with receivables.
Use the category buttons to filter the list, or open a lender guide for tips and FAQs. Each card shows the lender’s category, broker and geography notes, and the products it offers.
This is a directory of third-party lenders, not an endorsement or an offer of credit. Products are published by each lender and provided for comparison only. Rates, terms and approval depend on the lender and borrower, so confirm details directly before applying.
