Last updated: October 2026. This policy explains what information Funder Intel collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

1. About this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Funder Intel LLC ("Funder Intel," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use funderintel.com and our related member areas, tools, newsletters, courses, podcast and events (together, the "Services"). It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

Funder Intel serves professionals in business lending and fintech. The Services are not directed to consumers seeking personal loans or to anyone under 18.

3. Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, and the dates and times of your visits.

  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files and identifiers that keep you logged in, remember your preferences, help us understand how the Services are used, protect against fraud and spam, and support advertising. See Section 8.

  • Email engagement: whether you open our emails and which links you click, so we can improve our newsletters.

4. Information from other sources

We may combine information we collect with information from public sources, such as company websites, state and federal registrations, licensing databases, government data (including SBA data), press releases and professional networking profiles. We use this to build and maintain our directories, research coverage, and verify membership requests.

5. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate and secure the Services, including your account and member features;

  • review and verify membership requests and keep the community trustworthy;

  • build and maintain our directories, tools and data products;

  • send The Funding Curve and other updates you asked for, along with event invitations and Intel Briefings you chose;

  • process purchases, registrations and introduction requests;

  • respond to your questions and requests;

  • understand how the Services are used, measure performance and improve our content and tools;

  • show and measure advertising and sponsorships;

  • detect, prevent and investigate fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents and violations of our Terms; and

  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers: companies that host and run the Services for us, including our website platform (Wix), payment processors, email delivery, analytics, security and spam protection (such as Google reCAPTCHA), customer chat and event ticketing. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

  • Companies you ask us to introduce you to: when you use "request an introduction" or a similar feature, we share your name, company, contact details and the information you provide with that company. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

  • Other members and the public: information you choose to post in community areas or on a public profile can be seen by other members and, depending on your settings, by site visitors. Company information in our directories is visible to users of those directories.

  • Advertising partners: ad networks and sponsors may collect information through cookies on our site, as described in Section 8. We may share aggregated, de-identified statistics about our audience with advertisers and sponsors.

  • Events: attendee names, companies and titles may appear on name badges, check-in lists and, where you opt in, in attendee lists shared with event sponsors. Photos and recordings may be published as described in our Terms.

  • Legal and safety: when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to comply with law, a subpoena, a court order or another legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Funder Intel, our users or others.

  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Privacy Policy.

  • With your consent: for any other purpose you agree to.

7. Your choices

  • Emails: unsubscribe from The Funding Curve and other marketing emails using the link in any message. We may still send account, billing and other transactional messages.

  • Profile and account: update your profile and privacy settings from your member account, or contact us to correct or delete your account information.

  • Cookies: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Some features, such as staying logged in, may not work without them.

  • Advertising: you can opt out of interest-based ads from many networks at optout.aboutads.info and through your Google ad settings.

  • Directory listings: companies can ask us to update or remove listing information by contacting us.

8. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We and third parties use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to operate the site, keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure traffic and engagement, prevent spam and fraud, and show and measure ads. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies to show you ads based on your visits to this and other websites. These partners' use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for these signals, we do not respond to them. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, such as maintaining your account, sending you the updates you chose, keeping business and tax records, resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it de-identified. Information in backups or that others have reshared may persist for a limited time.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and our platform providers use encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, receive a copy of it, or opt out of certain uses, such as targeted advertising. To make a request, email info@funderintel.com. We will need to verify your identity before acting on your request. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

12. Children

The Services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Third-party sites

The Services link to websites, tools and services run by others, including listed companies, advertisers, payment processors and event venues. This Privacy Policy does not apply to them. Review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we may also notify members by email or on the site. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
