I hate asking what I think is a stupid question....
But before I shoot this del out to a lender....
The merchant sent me all personal bank statements. Would a lender even entertain that?

No such thing as a stupid question! The answer is no, for many reasons but you should try to help the merchant understand that they should switch now in order to be eligible for financing in the future
