My question is - what defines an “good” iso rep? Other than guidelines from a funder you use.

My favorite quality in an ISO rep: transparency
no feedback on a decline is one of my biggest pet peeves... if the file was declined because the TRUE revenue is way lower than gross deposits, tell me! that helps me correct any errors in my future submissions so im not making the same mistakes.
if you KNOW (or think there might be a chance) youre going to need more stips on a deal, give me a heads up so it dosnt get killed last minute or so i can prep the merchant and keep everyone efficiently moving.
if theres 5 other brokers on a file, and you know the merchant is a SHOPPER and a half, let me know so i can feel comfortable moving onto the next submission knowing my time is better spent on another deal.
Protect your ISO . They are your lifeline, they will follow you throughout your career . Also make sure you work with good ISO shops, If they are new spend the time to educate them . Communication is key in this business .
Good communication, helps brokers sell the offer and no bs when having to tell the broker the deal is dead or the broker f's up
One that doesn't lie or make false promises to get a deal funded. Something that's a rarity in this business. Doing what is in the best interests of the merhant rather than what makes the most money for the rep.
