Great question Bapshil, I would love to get the conversation going by saying brokers often use networking with those in closely related verticals that interact with merchants regularly, like accountants or mortgage brokers.

The reason why I asked is because in one of the broker groups I'm a part of on FB, one member kept on bragging about how he's been very successful generating business while rarely cold-calling. He believes that the cold-calling method is outdated and says that he use certain tools to get clients but he didn't specify what they were. My company while we did manage to get by COVID, our business still took a hit from it, and now I'm trying to reach out to previous clients through warm calls but I that hasn't been very effective in generating new business for us.
